This is a Volume Two soft cover book published in 1938 by The Edison Institute. 915 pages, this is a smaller than normal, but thick book containing Part 3 and 4 from the series. Part three is titled Early Development of Incandescent Electric Lighting as told to Francis Jehl (by Thomas Edition) from 1879 to 1880 (chapters 54-69) . Part four is Later Development from 1880 to 1881 (chapters 70 to 90) . Illustrated throughout in black and white. The covers are a soft green art paper. This book has a tight bindings and covers with minimal wear - a touch of wear to the corners and a dime size spot on the front cover - appears to be a water spot. Rear pages have a slight ripple at the bottom of the pages. The end papers are green and have no marks or writing. The interior pages are all crisp and clean. Well cared for. This is Volume two. Volume one and three are not included with this book. Volume two is a stray. Jehl was associated with Edison for most of his life. ; 8vo; 915 pages

This is a cover-less book which appears to be the first edition. It is a thick book with the last eight pages and 1/2 of the title page missing. This is a lengthy history (446 of 454 pages, plus Table of Contents, and numerous half tone photographs of leading Bishops and leaders. Approximately 2 1/2 pages are devoted to a Booker T. Washington address to the Twenty-Fourth General Conference held in Kansas City in May of 1912. Clearly, this book is missing its cover and the last eight pages. At some point is was not well cared for. The existing pages are generally clean except for a litte smudging. The book will be sent with an art paper neutral toned jacket that will surround the book with an opening. There will also be a title on the spine of the wrapper so that the book can look a little better on a book shelf and be more identifiable. This book was published by Church leaders Ira T. Bryant and John R. Hawkins in 1915 and printed by the Sunday School Union Print in Nashville, TN. ; 8vo

If not for those two flaws, the condition would be considered fine. The close-up photography of the items in the book is excellent. The Museum was designed by I. M. Pei and there are some photos devoted to the building and the collection featured in the book is arranged by wings of the building. There are some black and white drawings. There is an interview with Pei and a chapter on the surroundings. And a chapter ona visit to Mosono. The rear inside cover is a plan in color of the lay-out of the Museum. The covers are green cloth with a gilt decoration and title on the front cover and title on the spine. The front cover also has a gilt border. The top edges are also gilt. Book books is nice and tight, but there is fading on the spine. Covers and corners are crisp with NO bumped corners. The interior is crisp and clean with no soil. There is a ribbon marker that has left a shadow effect on the pages where it is located and in a half circle where the end of it was curled up into the pages. Well cared for. The book has a new archival removable, see-through mylar cover and the start of fading on the spine is less noticeable. ; 8vo; 220 pages
