This a textbook / coursebook used at the University of Minnesota for course titled "The Humanities in the Modern World I" in 1960. It was published by Ross and Haines of Minneapolis in a spiral binder with grey paper covers. The book is tall and thick. Though only 174 pages the paper is heavy. The interior pages are in a typed manuscript style. There are illustrations in black and white that are poor in quality - not sharp in tone. There is Glossary, Bibliography, and page cross reference for artists. The binding is tight - there is break in the plastic of the bottom comb with no loss of grip. The covers have a little soil. There is a soft vertical crease in the front cover. There is an area of darkenin on the first blank page. There is a touch of foxing on the fore-edges/front edges. (Foxing light brown spots - a chemical reaction to impurities in the paper or environmental contact. There is a small price sticker from the Minn Co-op. There are no marks or writing. ; 4to; 174 pages

This is the first edition in softcover of the 100 year anniversayr-commemor ation of the death of the former President of Mexico who died on 18 July 1872. Vicentie Magdaleno compiled and introduced the tributes and poetry by many admirers. In Spanish. The is a tall, wide book in a softcover with an embossed title. 199 pages. The white cover has some slight toning around some edges, more so on the rear cover which also has a few spots. The interior is crisp and clean with toning around the edges indicating acid content in the paper. No marks, no writing, no names or labels, No chips or creases. There is a tiny closed tear on the rear cover. Well cared for. All in Spanish. A booklet of biography of 12 pages is laid in. There is a portrait of Juarez in black and white on the cover and the Mexican National Hymn on the rear. It is in near fine condition. Juarez is a favored President of Mexico. There are 84 contributors to this work. ; 4to; 199 pages
