This is a handsome leather covered hardcover book. The full leather is dark brown with a wide blindstamped border and exquisitely detailed urn on front and back. The spine has raised bands with gilt decorative design and label. The board edges are beveled. There is some fine scuffs to the leather In places but nicely polished. All edges are a bright gilt. The interior pages are foxed throughout - (brown spots from impurities in the paper or from the elements) . Though the end paper in the front of the book is cracked, the binding is tight. The interior pages are quite clean, otherwise. There are many steel engravings: a frontispiece of Rogers, a title page vignette, and 10 other small scenes from the works ; 8vo
