This a hand pressed book printed on handmade paper and printed in a Limited Edition. This is number 684 of 1000. The covers are in poor condition and the book is a candidate for rebinding. The cover is a faint greyish-green shade of paper with a fine cloth spine. It has water stains; a horizontal closed tear on the spine with a slit along the side of the spine from a half waw point to the foot which has been repaired. There are; also some worn corners - the book boards are showing through the paper cover at the tips of the corner. The interior has a gift note to and from former owners. No date. There is toning to the end papers, but other interior pages are in very good condition with only a litte darkening at the tip of the untrimmed handmade paper on the fore edte. None of the faint water stains on the cover go through to the end papers or pages. The font and paper is by Riccardi Press.. ; 8vo; 77 pages

The book is near fine with a tight binding and very clean covers. The end pages, edges, and pages are clean. There is only a hint of a pencil erasure on the front end paper. The unclipped dust jacket as a soft vertical crease on the inside front flap. There is a slight loss of the top color layer of the paper at the top and bottom of the spine with a touch of edge wear. Otherwise the color is strong and bright and the cream background on the front and back of the book is quite clean. ; 8vo

This is a gift condition fine hardcover book in a fine slipcase. The book has been well cared for. No marks, no writing, no wear to the book or the slipcase. There is a gilt title on the side of the slipcase and a tooled (reverse embossing) title and Kennedy signature with the birth and death date on the cover and the title on the spine, both in gilt. There is a Foreword by Theodore C. Sorensen and a Dedication by President Lyndon B. Johnson. The contents include text and illustrations - photos, sketches and drawings. There is half of a narrow band that wrapped around the book, It has words that one of the illustrations is that of a watercolor by Jacqueline Kennedy that hung close to the President's desk. The book contains the earliest tributes selected by the editors, Salinger and Vanocur. One is a drawing to two children of Columbia crying while saluting. Adjacent to is is a letter from the President of Venequelas addressed to Caroline and John - with words to Caroline reminding her that her father brought her to the door of the White House to meet him (Romulo Betancourt) . The text includes tributes from a wide range of people. ; 8vo; 162 pages

This is a hardcover book in a dust jacket. The book is tight, bright, and clean. The binding is tight and the spine and corners are very straight and without wear. There are no added marks or writing. There is faint foxing on the end papers (foxing - an acidic reaction to binding glues, non-archival paper, or the environment causing little brown spotting) . The interior pages are very clean and crisp. The jacket has many short closed tears and some chipping, a piece of tape at the top of the spine, and some rubbing to the laminate. The jacket is now protected from further wear with a cover of new, archival, see-through, removable myalr. There is a comment by Paul Tillich and a Biographical Note by Emil Strauss. There are full page, color art plates on the right of each page spread and short dialogue on the left of each page turn. The text is in English, however text within the images is in other languages. Tall 11", wide 8 1/2", 1 1/4" thick. ; 4to

There is a wrinkle running top to bottom in the middle of the front cover, probably due the cover being stressed upwards. The books has a tight binding and the pages are clean. There is a former owner name and address on the front end paper. The end papers have some slight foxing (light brown paper spotting resulting from an acidic chemical reaction in the paper) . ; 4to

Unclipped and clean on the front panel and smudged on the back panel, there are some tears that were repaired with the wrong kind of tape and there is a hint of discoloration showing from the front bottom corner. Some edge wear and a chip. The spine title has faded. Now protected in a see-through, removable mylar cover. Sanger was a solo stage monologuist.
