This is a First Macmillan Printing in a hardcover with a dust jacket. The book is deligtfully illustrated by Tom Hamil. The tale has been retold by Ashraf Siddiqui. The book is tight, bright, crisp, clean. The covers are a bright yellow cloth that has slight discoloring across the top edge and faintly on the spine. The end papers and pages are very clean except for a young former owner name in somewhat large letter - it's on the front pasted down end paper partly hidden under the dust jacket flap. The dust jacket is also quite clean and crisp, but there is definite darkening near the spine. There are two small chips at the bottom of the rear panel. It is price clipped. Well cared for over all. The jacket will be protected in a new archival, see-through and removable mylar cover. ; 4to

This is the hardcover early printing with a dust jacket by the author The Five Little Peppers. The book has a tight binding and is clean and crisp with a faint touch of thread wear to the corners of it's light green cloth binding. The covers and spine is a pepper plant design with five peppers in green ink, all in green ink. The end papers are crisp and clean with a possible sign of a pencil price erasure at a corner of the rear end paper. The pages are crisp and clean, but there is a touch of light spotting on the front edge. The top edges have a light yellow tint and two tiny dots. The dust jacket is a light green with the same green pepper plant design and title on the front cover and spine. There is some fading of the green background on the spine. The jacket is unclipped - their interior flaps are unprinted. There are a few full page illustrations - line drawings with some background in black ink. By Louis Meynelle. Very well cared for. Near gift condition. No marks or writing. ; 8vo; 206 pages

This is a soft cover book in a second edtion printed in India with a 1922 date on the cover and title page. There is a tiny label pasted on the title page saying the book was sold by The Theosophical Press in Wheaton, Illinois. The covers are a delicate beige paper that has some chips and missing corners and a closed tear. There is a water stain at the rear bottom corner of the cover and on about ten pages. The interior pages are clean, otherwise. There are some previous pencil price erasures. Condition shows as quite used on the covers and good on the interior except for the water stain at the bottom rear pages. There is an Introduction by C. W. Leadbeater. ; 8vo; 87 pages
