This is a softcover book published by The MIT Press for the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis in 1976. It is Volume 100. This is an essay by Craig Hodgetts about James Stirling with contributions by eight well known archtects: Craig Ellwood, Richard Gwathmey, Philip Johnson, Richard Meier, Doug Michels, Cesar Pelli, Robert Stern, Stanley Tigerman. There are many black and white photos and drawings throughout. The cover is a bright orange and purple glossy paper with a stapled binding. There is some color rub off and fading at the spine from a bright orange to a yellow orange. There is a six panel fold-out of a model in the center of the magazine. There are two vertial fold marks and one horizontal mark. There is a note stating that the staples used in the binding would have to be carefully removed to open the model to the full view. ; Vol. 100; 4to; 36 pages

This is a softcover book without a dust jacket. The book is tight, bright, and very clean. On the bottom edge of the rear cover there is a small triangle where the color layer of the paper is missing. There is also a faint scratch on the rear. If not for those two flaws, the condition would be considered fine. The close-up photography of the items in the book is excellent. The Museum was designed by I. M. Pei and there are some photos devoted to the building and the collection featured in the book is arranged by wings of the building. There are some black and white drawings. There is an interview with Pei and a chapter on the surroundings. And a chapter ona visit to Mosono. The rear inside cover is a plan in color of the lay-out of the Museum. This a textbook / coursebook used at the University of Minnesota for course titled "The Humanities in the Modern World I" in 1960. It was published by Ross and Haines of Minneapolis in a spiral binder with grey paper covers. The book is tall and thick. Though only 174 pages the paper is heavy. The interior pages are in a typed manuscript style. There are illustrations in black and white that are poor in quality - not sharp in tone. There is Glossary, Bibliography, and page cross reference for artists. The binding is tight - there is break in the plastic of the bottom comb with no loss of grip. The covers have a little soil. There is a soft vertical crease in the front cover. There is an area of darkenin on the first blank page. There is a touch of foxing on the fore-edges/front edges. (Foxing light brown spots - a chemical reaction to impurities in the paper or environmental contact. There is a small price sticker from the Minn Co-op.
