This is a hardcover book without a dust jacket as issued. Text in French. This is Book 1 and Book 2 (Part 1) completed in collaboration with Auguste Sérieyx. It is based on the class notes from the Schola Cantorum from 1897-98 and 1899-1900. D 'Indy co-founded the school and taught composition. This is a heavy book with patterned paper covered book covers and a leather banded and gilt spine, plus leather corners. The leather is scuffed, but whole and with only some edge wear at the top of the spine. The book has a tight binding, is clean on the exterior and interior. There are no marks or writing other than a former owner name on the front end paper. This book may require extra postage if shipped by air. Heavy. The text is in French. ; 4to; 500 pages

This is a softcover advance Review Copy published in 1965. It is the autobiography of an a Broklyn boy (1925) whose parents came from Italy. He became a singer in a rogue way and went on to a career in clubs, ballrooms, records, a television show and a role in a movie with rock and roll singers Little Richard, Alan Freed, Bill Haley. Little Richard. In 1956 he played baseball in a celebrity-entertainer game and stood side by side with Joe DeMiaggio each signing autographs. The binding is tight. There is sunning to the spine. The art paper covers a a dull gray. Thec covers have some curled corners with a little touch of soil. There is a soft vertical crease near the spine on the cover and first few pages. The end paper has a trace of pencil erasure. Theee are no other marks or writing anywhere. The interior pages are clean and still crisp, but this book has been read. Generally, well cared for. ; 8vo; 317 pages

This is a softcover magazine published by the JM Huber Corporation in April of 1953 featuring and saluting the 50th Anniversary of Victor Red Seal recordings. This issue came with a RCA 45 record named "Huber Salutes RCA Victor" Side 1 is a copy of portion of the performance "Floradora" with the music "Tell Me, Pretty Maiden" by Vess L. Ossman, the Banjo King, originally recorded October 7 1902. Side 2 is a copy of John Philip Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever" originally recorded May 28, 1926. The record number is E3-C5-1387. The cover is a photograph of the artist who provided RCA with the painting of Nipper, the most famous dog in the world, listening to " His Master's Voice". The dog was a pet of the artist, Francis Barraud. Seven pages are devoted to RCA. There are black and white photos of famous people and ensembles (Toscanini, Caruso, Maria Duchene, Patrice Munsel, cast of Hazel Flagg) There is a photo of employees sitting on the steps at the first office in Camden, NJ. , some history, a photo of record cutting and advertisements. The Huber company made carbon black and provided other materials for the record. Other articles are about oil production equipment, forestry-lumber, and headquarter news. The paper for the record features the Huber Corporation in the words. The 45 appears to be in fine condition. The magazine is near fine - there is a little wrinkle at the bottom of the spine. Tight binding - stapled. Clean and crisp. No marks no writing. There are two tape marks on the paper pocket for the record. Evidently, it was attached to a magazine page. It is presently inserted in the magazine - untaped. Well cared for. The J. M. Huber company was establishd in 1883 and continues to manufacture and manage diversified industries. ; 8vo; 23 pages

The front end papers have a former owner book plate with name and the name of a lake in Minnesota, plus a hand writtent date. The adjacent free end paper has a matching signature by the same former owner, plus a date in green ink. There is a hint of a former price erasure. There are no other marks or writing. The interior pages are all crisp and tight. The jacket is may be a piece of decorative paper or a special addition by the publisher. There is a repetetive design that looks like it could be a logo - two birds facing each other with a letter "N" showing between them on two of the logos. The color is green and off-white. It is quite old with browing on the inside and a little corner wear. The title of the book is typed and adhered to the spine with an adhesive. The jacket could be hand-made or not. It is now protected in a new, archival, see-through and removable mylar cover. Ernestine (Rossler) Schumann-Heink's first professional appearance in opera was in 1877.; 8vo; 390 pages
