This is an ex-library copy of this biolgraphical work of the politicians and office holders in Wisconsin from 1787 to 1896. There are biographical sketches and portraits of those featured. This is a heavy, thick book - the cost of shipping by air should be reviewed before ordering. The binding is strong, covers intact, and the book appears to have been rebound at one time in strong blue library cloth. There is some wear and fraying at the top or the spine. There are some call numbers on the spine, stamping on the bottom edge, a library book plate, pin point punctures spelling out the library name on some beginning pages, and some library numbers on the copyright page. The pages are clean . The tissue guards over the portraits are in good condition. There is some smudging on the end papers, but the interior pages are generally clean. The edges of the book are in gilt. ; Tall 8vo; 452 pages

This is the First American Edition hardcover book by Trollope - 546 pages, plus six pages of a list of books by the publisher. Frontispiece of Trollope . Thomas Adolphus Trollope was the brother of Anthony Trollope. The book has maroon cloth covers a title in gilt on the spine. There is a touch of cloth fraying at the tips of the corners and the bottom of the spine. There are a couple of tiny holes at the spine. Firm binding. Clean. The interior pages are crisp and clean except for a spot on the rear end paper that is offset on the other end paper and diminishing shodows of the spot are on three adjacent pages. There are two tiny spots on the fore edge (front edges) There is a former owner name in light pencil on the front free end paper and a couple of notes in faint pencil by the same owner on two other pages. There are no other marks or writing. ; 8vo; 546 pages

This is a softcover Teachers Guide published in 1992 as part of the Education Programs at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library. The booklet's main feature is an exchange of letters between Laura Ingalls WIlder and Rose Wilder Lane during 1937 to 1939 while they were working on The Banks of Plum Creek and By the Shores of Silver Lake. There are some black and white photos to accompany the letters. There is also the content of a speech that Laura gave in Detroit in October 1937. There is a guide for teachers that includes questions, answers, and points of discussion. The book is 11" tall by 8 1/2" wide. 43 pages. The cover is heavy stock light gray paper with a stapled binding. There are photos of Laura and Rose printed in a blue ink on the front. The rear cover is blank. The interior is simple black and white. The condition is a sturdy and strong binding. Generally clean and bright - there is a little spot on the bottom of the rear cover. Near the little spot is a small, simple label with the name of the book and with something crossed off with a pen.. The interior pages are crisp and clean. There are no marks, no names, and no writing anywhere. There is a short tear at the bottom of one of the interior pages. Generally, well cared for. ; 4to; 42 pages
