1870 
Steel engraving in fine condition of the Entrance to Pera in Tophana. This is an engraving of the original work by R. Sands. The print was published in 1839 by Fisher, Son & Co out of London and by Quai de E'Ecole out of Paris. The print is black and white with fine lines of engraving and delicate grades of shading. Print depicts a romantic image of a port containing many boats and people arriving while a palace rises in the background in a landscape of rolling hills topped with buildings. Print is neat and clean with no tears or chips and no discoloration. Print measures 8 1/4" x 10 3/4" image measures 6 1/4" x 7 1/4" (including the title: Tophana-Entrance to Pera engraved in fine lettering at the bottom of the image) (height by width) ; 8 1/4" x 10 3/4"

Advertisment also illustrated many other types of car lights made and sold by GE and includes text describing the advantages and attributes of Edison Mazda lamps. This is a print - an original etching by Malcolm Osborne, signed in pencil. Two figures in the foreground appear to be viewing a distant farm beyond farmland or water. There is a line of poplars and the left is framed in trees. The etching has been hinged and matted on pure archival, antique cream matboard that is cut and ready to frame in a standard size 14 x 18 frame (frame not included) . The image is 6 1/4" high x 13 3/4 " wide. The image is richly inked. There is aI burn mark around the plate mark which is now covered by the archival matboard. T he margins are about 1 1/2 to 2+ inches. The paper is otherwise clean. There are no fold marks, creases, chips, or other signs of wear. The matboard has been protected in acetate and supported on the back with foamcore. Noglue has been used except for the mounting hinge. Possibly one of his earlier etchings: c 1910? . ; -

This print is an original Fortune magazine cover from 1938 with art by Miguel Covarrubias. The main figure is a long dressed woman with a basket of fruit on her head in front of what appears to be a petroleum tank that is part of a refinery. There are village huts and tropical trees. It is matted in a complimentary blue. Archival materials have been used and will be mailed with the mat board, an archival backing separator, foam core and wrapped in acetate. The print is hinged (it is not glued down) . The image size is 13 1/2" high x 10 3/4" wide. The outside dimension is 20 x 16" - and the entire item will fit into a standard 20 x 16" frame, minus the acetate. This item will be mailed flat in protective packaging. Postage for prints and maps may cost a little more than the rate for a book. ; -

The evening light coloring of the print is perfectly enhanced by the solid color blue-grey, 100% archival matboard selected for this print. The image is fine, however, the print was originally framed and the margin has been clipped close to the image. The print has been matted to the edge of the image with a window for the title.
