There is a slight slant to the spine. The end papers are original and have somw former owner writing in pencil and some in ink. There is a n engraved frontispiece of a full view of a female. There are other wood line engravings of scenes. A piece of the tissue guard over the frontispiece is missing. Someone has written in words in pencil on the bottom of the frontispiece next to the caption. The first five or six pages have some serious foxing or staining from the page edges going in. This book is in English. Charming small book. Well cared for. ; 8vo; 234 pages
