There is a closed puncture and some wrinkling in the cover and a former owner name and address on the inside cover. The covers and interior are quite clean . This set includes 10 Volumes of pochoir prints with text in French depicting French fashion from 1037 to 1870. Each volume contains twelve pages of prints, each page has approximately 9 to 15 images. Printed in France c.1925, the prints are shown in a style similar to the pochoir prints of the artists known for their Art Deco fashion art. Pochoir is a form of stencil. Ink has been applied to outlines of drawings. Each page is an original inked print, some in metallic ink. The drawings depict fashion over the centuries. The fashions of the eras include robes and capes, headdress, gloves, full dress, tunics, sleeves, neck pieces, embroidery and trim, purses, jewelry, and footwear. There is also a pochoir print on the front and back of each cover. Each volume is covered in a glassine wrap which is well worn. All covers are in good condition except one which has a blue offset stain that is mostly in the margins except for one line that goes across the print on the cover. There are a few short closed tears on the cover. The interior pages are near fine, very clean and without marks. The eras decited are: Moyen Age, Rennaissance, Henri III-Louis XIII, Louis IV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Revolution, Empire, Restauration, Second Empire. The size of each plate is 14 5/8 inches high x 10 3/4 inches wide. ; Vol. 1/10/06; 4to

The book is written in calligraphy and is printed in various neutral shades of ink. The book is 15" tall and 10" wide. This copy has a few touches of wear - the interior is in very good condition. There is a less than 1/2" closed tear on the front fore-edge There are two soft creases on the front upper corner and a small crease on one of the interior pages. There is a clustered sprinkle of small spots in one place on the rear cover. There is a tiny curl to the corners of the pages on the fore-edges. There are no marks or writing. The soft paper and covers have held up well considering the size of the book and its 37 years. ; 4to; 27 pages

This is a softcover portfolio (booklet form) containing 22 images of Salt Lake City and without text except for a legend and background on each of the images. The artist is Nathaniel I. Gornick. The prints look like etchings, including plate marks, however the printing method is 'Genuine Albertype Reproductions' (printed by The Albertype Company of Brooklyn, N. Y.. The cover is a heavy cream colored, quality card stock paper printed with the title of the image and displaying "The Open Gate' by Gornick. Each of the other pages are also on the same paper. The booklet is bound by a cord with a tassle. The binding is tight. The booklet is very clean and crisp. There are two tiny age spots on the front cover. The booklet came in a portfolio envelope which is no longer in good shape, but it has protected the booklet wel and will be shipped with the booklet. Each image is titled. The artist's name (initials and last name) are printed below the image along with the title. The image on the covers counts as one of the twenty-two prints. There are two smaller ones on one page and all the other images are full page. Many of the images are of Mormon interest. Gornick is a recognized artist whose original works were released through Associated Artists of America along with the works of name artists such as Thomas Hart Benson. The art work is of a nice quality. This booklet is still in gift condition after 75 + years. ; 4to
