This is a portfolio cover containing 124 unbound plates. The plates are printed in black, white, grey tonal photogravures (photo engravings) . The reverse or each plate is blank. This is Series 6 - Suite du Metal - Bronzes, Appliques, Orfevrerie, Terre culte, Porcelaines. This book was donated to the library by The American Institute of Interior Designers according to a bookplate pasted to the interior of the portfolio covers. The second page, the Table of Contents, has a library stamp and a tiny stamp indicating reference plus call numbers in pencil. There is a small discard stamp on the portfolio cover. The portfolio as been neatly rebacked. The portfolio is held togehter with an old, serviceable cotton tie. The covers show wear and some splotches of water stain. The corners show light wear. There are some smudges on the rear. The plates are all mostly clean and the paper is sufficiently strong to view for many more years. C 1900. ; Vol. 6; 4to

Approximatelly 130 pages with 68 pages of chronology followed by another 60 pages of supplemental information, terms, characters and equivalents, plus bibliography. This is a softcover book without a dust jacket. The book is tight, bright, and very clean. On the bottom edge of the rear cover there is a small triangle where the color layer of the paper is missing. There is also a faint scratch on the rear. If not for those two flaws, the condition would be considered fine. The close-up photography of the items in the book is excellent. The Museum was designed by I. M. Pei and there are some photos devoted to the building and the collection featured in the book is arranged by wings of the building. There are some black and white drawings. There is an interview with Pei and a chapter on the surroundings. And a chapter ona visit to Mosono. The rear inside cover is a plan in color of the lay-out of the Museum. There are 74 pages. ; 4to; 74 pages

Would be fine hardback book except that someone has translated some of the titles beneath the works of art into Polish and has neatly written these translations above the German titles. The writing is artistic, small, faint and unoffensive.. The translations are sporadic. The covers are a fine beige colored cloth with black and red titles. The hinges are as tight as when new and the corners are straight and unworn. The end papers and pages are very clean. The text is in German. The dust jacket has some short closed tears and light edge wear in places. It is mostly crisp and clean looking. There are many color and black and white reproductions of his work, some are foldouts. This a textbook / coursebook used at the University of Minnesota for course titled "The Humanities in the Modern World I" in 1960. It was published by Ross and Haines of Minneapolis in a spiral binder with grey paper covers. The book is tall and thick. Though only 174 pages the paper is heavy. The interior pages are in a typed manuscript style. There are illustrations in black and white that are poor in quality - not sharp in tone. There is Glossary, Bibliography, and page cross reference for artists. The binding is tight - there is break in the plastic of the bottom comb with no loss of grip. The covers have a little soil. There is a soft vertical crease in the front cover. There is an area of darkenin on the first blank page. There is a touch of foxing on the fore-edges/front edges. (Foxing light brown spots - a chemical reaction to impurities in the paper or environmental contact. There is a small price sticker from the Minn Co-op. There are no marks or writing. ; 4to; 174 pages
