Original pen, watercolor, and gouache drawing on grey paper of a costume design for the character Rich during the trial portion of the play "A Man for All Seasons". The full figure portrait of Rich is rendered in watercolors and gouche and defined with ink contour lines. Swatches of the actual fabrics selected for his costume are stapled along the upper left hand corner and the title Rich #4-Trial is written in ink in the top right corner, along with some other notations. Drawing is in fine condition and the paint and ink remain opaque and fresh. This drawing is one of a series of drawings for the costumes designed for Shakespeare's "A Man for All Seasons" performed in St. Paul, MN in the 1970's.
