This is the third printing of the first edition. It is a hardcover book with a dust jacket with illustrations by Diego Rivera. There is a handsome illustration in color opposite the title page. There are 15 line drawings with black and white. The end papers are decorated with a map of Mexico and the Pacific and Gulf seas. The book cover has a Mexican decorative design with blue and brick red inks used on a grey cloth binding. There is no wear to the book. There are no marks or writing in this clean inerior. However, there are two pages that have darkening from a newspaper clipping about Mexico as a tourist destination (the discoloration is from an acidic reaction to the newspaper clipping - which is still present) . There is a tiny former owner label pasted down on the front free end paper at the bottom left corner. The dust jacket was made with soft paper which has chips along the edges and the corners. The original price of $3.00 is on the inside bottom of the jacket flap. The jacket is now protected in a new archival see-through and removable mylar cover. The art for the end papers and jacket are by Am Berger. The title page has a line that says: "In Collaboration with Marian Tyler". There is a Foreword, 15 Chapters, a Bibliography, and an Index. ; 8vo; 338 pages
