There are no indications that it has been read. Tight, bright, crisp, clean. No marks or writing. Gift condition. The title and border of foil gilt is very bright. The box is strong. There are no split corners. There is just a faint hint of wear to the corners, there are no serous flaws. The glassine cover over the book is missing. The book is 5 5/8" tall and 4" wide. Good paper; a good ink impression, and a decent size font. The author served in the Ambulance Corps of the Red Cross during World War !.
