Hardcover science book for youth from the mid-1850's. Nice brown cloth covered book with blind stamped covers and spine. Title in gilt. Tightly bound with some foxing (brown acidic spotting) on the end papers and first and last few pages. There are some line engraving illustrations of images and graphs - water spout, snowflakes, clouds, aurora borealis. There is a hint of professional repair at the top of the spine. ; 8vo
