This is a soft cover book of 96 pages, published by the U. S. Army as a reference for reading maps published in Japanese. There is a list of very detailed sites that would be found on a map from cemetary to breakwater to sheep pasture and some more detailed ones such as kaolin deposit and extra words such as legation and star and globe. The romanized and English word are shown with the Kanji. There is a conversion table of Romaji equivalents, a table of Christian-Japanese years, a list of Provinces, and a list of Japanese security classifications . The rear cover has been replaced with a paper similar to the paper front cover which is present. The front cover edges have been reinforced with archival Japanese tissue tape. There is a corner chip and some short closed tears on the cover. The interior pages are crisp and clean. There are no added marks or writing. Well cared for except that the paper used has not stood the test of time. ; 8vo
