This is the text block from the original 1876 publication of Michigan's Centennial. There is a front cover , but no spine or back cover. For content or rebinding. The first page is the frontispiece. The back part is the free end paper (marbled) . The cover is dark brown half leather and pebbled cloth with the title in gilt and the years 1776 1876. The frontispiece is a lithograph that is seriously chipped. The remainder of the pages are firmly bound and rounded. They are clean except for a corner spot on the title page. There are no marks or writing. All illustrations are present. There are some in text illustrations and all six full page plates: State Capitol Old & New; International Exhibition; Womens Exhibition; Adrian and Ann Arbor High Schools; State Public School; Asylum for the insane at Kalamazoo. Black and white lithographs. ; 4to; 689 pages
