This is a new looking hardcover book in a similarly new looking dust jacket. Very well cared for. The book is tight, bright, and very clean. There are no marks or writing. Very crisp. Most likely unused. The only fault is some dulling of the gilt on the spine. The dust jacket is equally crisp and clean. There is an offset shadow on the inside of the jacket transferred from the title on the spine of the book. There is a tiny touch of wear to some corners. "The study is based on newly discovered records of some thirty-five academies founded in Florence and other Tuscan cities ... To the outbreak of the French Revolution. " Composed and printed in Italy. ; 8vo; 268 pages
