Posin, Daniel Q. I HAVE BEEN TO THE VILLAGE Ann Arbor, MI 1948 Hardcover SIGNED. This is a hardcover book in a dust jacket SIGNED by the author. The book is tight, bright, and very clean. It would be considered as being in fine condition if not for a former owner stamp on both pasted down and free end paper. The author signed on the end paper. The dust jacket is equally crisp and clean with a few short closed tears now protected in a see-through, removable mylar jacket cover. There is a foreward by Albert Einstein. The author was a professor of physics and had published other books on science. This book is the story behind the way the author presented the concept of atomic capabilities, especially to non-scientists, often farmers, of the Dakotas and Minnesota. There is a reference to Einstein's statement about carrying the facts of atomic energy to the village square. This is the story and history of Posin's message to the villages. The book has been well cared for, the jacket was slightly hurt before being protected with a cover. Self-published or published by the Lithographer, Edwards Brothers. ; 8vo; 151 pages; Signed by Author Price:
35.00 USD
