This is a hardcover book (French language) in leather and marbled boards with the original book in wrappers bound in. The covers are 3/4 maroon morocco leather with maroon and dark maroon-black marbled papers. There are six compartments with raised bands an the title and author stampled in and filled with gilt. Marbled end papers in a creem and reddish-marron. The original book is in spring green art paper with the title page printed on the cover and repeated inside the book. No date is mentioned, this book appears to have a photogravure by Rajon and not an etching on the frontipiece. There is a book plate of a former owner laid in - not glued. It belonged to a former Ambassador to France (from Eastern Europe) . The bookplate is nicely designed and printed. The leather binding is in very good plus to near fine condition. There is a very slight touch of wear to the corners. Clean, crisp, with a tight binding. There are no marks or writing. The covers of the wrappers are quite clean as are the interior pages. In French. Gift condition. ; 8vo; 321 pages
