This is a First Edition hardcover book published in 1899, 166 pages. Bound in a handsome blue cloth with bronze gilt for the title on the front cover and spine. The setting is the northern district of Queens County, Nova Scotia - Brookfield - Molega Road. The binding is tight. There is a little wear at the top and bottom fo the spine and a touch to the corners with a little rubbing on the rear cover. There is a black and white photo of a man resting on the ground - assumed to be the author, McLeod. A former owner name is lightly stamped on the front free end paper and repeated in a stamp with initals. There are no other marks or writing. The pages are clean and crisp. ; 8vo; 166 pages
