The back board is grey paper covered, calf leather spine (lacking front cover) . The name of a former owner has been added to the spine (in gilt on black leather) . The binding is tight and there is barely a hint of wear and a small spot on the rear cover. There is a sprinkle of dots of foxing (an acidic reaction in the paper over time) - it's on the front and bottom edges.. There is a former owner neatly written gift note on the first blank page.
