1 ACHIEVEMENT! Print of a Knight in Armor
1927 
This a printers sample of a knight in armor on a horse with the word Achievement above. The artist is Walter Rosenthal. The print was used to describe a new technique in printing innovation in 1927. The color and registration is excellent and the matboards selected compliment the print perfectly. The dominant colors in the print are red, blue, and white on a grey background. The matboard is a grey with a blue liner. The outside dimensions of the matboards have been cut to fit a ready-made, standard size 11 x 14 frame (frame not included) . The matboard is rag core archival. The image size is 6" high x 6" wide. The print is hinged, not glued. The print comes with a foamcore backing and an acetate cover that allows it to be temorarily hung on the wall without framing as the acetate has a glass look. ; -

Inexpensive paper was used for the printing. There is some discoloration on all the page edges (not soil) . There are illustrations of prints and some photographs. The book chapters are written by an array of authors - some in government service and others from foundations. Some of the illustrations portray the drama and seriousness (as if to sell more books) . There is a copyright statement and date on onion skin followed by the manuscript on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. The cover is a black facsimile pebbled leather. The spine is in gilt stating PH. D THESIS (rule) 1967 and Roger W. Cummins. The condition is fine for the cover. The end papers have a little browning at the glue lines. There are no other marks or writing on the end papers or the pages. Crisp and clean except for the top edges which have spots. The tips of the edges have some browning and one foxing spot is noted. Tightly bound . Handsome-simple binding.
