Boston Tappan And Whittemore 1854 Hardcover Very Good+ with no dust jacket  
Tight and clean hardback book. Green ribbed cloth with blindstamped border and ornate gilt crest on front cover and blindstamped on the back cover. The spine title is in gilt and also ornate. There is slight wear to the top of the spine and the corners. The binding is very tight. The former owner name , date, and a note is on the front free end paper with an offsetting impression on the pasted down end paper. There is an engraving of London Bridge as a frontispiece. The tissue guard is foxed. (brown spotting) . The pages are quite clean. A travel diary of a 'Traveller and Teacher' on board a Cunard ship and in Europe. H. A Willard of the Willard Hotel was a former owner. ; Small 8vo
