SIGNED. This is a first edition hardcover book with a dust jacket. The book comes with two Playbills from the Old Log Theatre for the performance of Whose Wife Is It Anyway - A Comedy by Ray Cooney. (Excelsior, Minnesota) . The book looks new - there is a wood look to the book cover - brown cloth with brown ink and an image of the theatre in a near silouette. The interior end papers and pages are clean. Signed with a greeting on the front end paper. The dust jacket is quite crisp and very clean, but with a light touch of edgewear. The jacket is now protected in an archival, see-through, removable mylar cover. There some illustrations, including am image of the cover of a Playbill from the first play performed in 1940. SIGNED. This is a hardcover book of children's poetry - with a dust jacket and signed by the author in the center of the front free end paper. The book is delightfully illustrated by Susan Elson. The illustratio ns are line drawings in black and white - some full page and some within the text. The covers are cloth in a soft peach-pink color. There is a little design and title on the cover in black ink as well as a title on the spine. There is a former owner name on the front pasted down end paper. There is a very light touch of some soil on the bottom edge, in a few places. Clean throughout with crisp pages. The dust jacket is a bright yellow with a drawing of a child leaning in an upper window of a portion of a house waving to a child in a sand box with clothes on the line in the background. There is some wear to the jacket - a tear to the bottom edge of the rear panel, some chipping on the corners, some smudges and a little stain. The original price is present . The jacket is now protected and freshened up and covered by a new archival see-through, removable mylar jacket-cover. ; 8vo; 64 pages; Signed by Author

This item is an autograph of William Rose Benet written on the letterhead of the publishing firm of Brewer & Warren Inc. Benet is shown as Editor. The address is 6 East Third St New York with phone and cable code, plus London office address printed on the bottom of the paper. There is no accompanying message or greeting. The paper has no date. There is an envelope with the logo of the company pre-printed diagonally in the corner of the envelope. The postmark appears to be dated April15, 1930 7 PM and the location is Grand Central Station. The cancellation stamp is over the logo, but readable. Size 11 x 8 1/2, folded twice, horizontally and vertically to fit the near square envelope. The ink signature is written diagonally across the near middle of the paper. The address on the envelope also appears to be in the hand of Benet. Clean and without wear. ; .; Signed by Author

SIGNED. This is a typed manuscript thesis of this doctoral work by Cummins inscribed to his parents and dated June 8, 1967. "A Thesis submitted to the Faculty of the Graduate School of the University of Minnesota" and "In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy". There is a copyright statement and date on onion skin followed by the manuscript on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. The cover is a black facsimile pebbled leather. The spine is in gilt stating PH. D THESIS (rule) 1967 and Roger W. Cummins. The condition is fine for the cover. The end papers have a little browning at the glue lines. There are no other marks or writing on the end papers or the pages. Crisp and clean except for the top edges which have spots. The tips of the edges have some browning and one foxing spot is noted. Tightly bound . Handsome-simple binding. The coverage of this work is Utopia as sought during the mid-1800's with detailed accounts of the philosphical ties and relationships to Americans of note and especially with Amos Bronson Alcott and his circle and family. ; 4to; 301 pages; Signed by Author
