The book contains many black and white half tone illustrations of photos and diagrams. Some weaving patterns are shown, followed by finished products with details. This is a handsome exhibition catalog from 1966. There were 172 items detailed in this catalog on art paper, followed by 60 black and white photograph plates of some of the items. The details are nicely arranged on a cream art paper, the plates are on glossy paper. There is a soft green art paper cover with a line drawing of serving pieces with a floral design embossed and in white. The binding is tight and the covers are quite clean except for a loss of color in two tiny places on the rear cover. There is a faint touch or corner wear at the tips of the front corners. There is a spot on the inside cover that transferred to the end paper. There are no marks or writing. The interior pages are crisp and clean. The exhibition dates were June 10 through July 31 (1966) . ; 8vo

This is a hardcover book in near fine condition. The only flaws are a five acidic spots less than the size of a pencil eraser top sattered over the first six pages. . The covers and interior are otherwise in gift condition. Tight, bright, crisp, clean. Appears to be unread. There are no marks or writing. The binding is professional and the glossy paper is of high quality. There are 26 Chapters and and Index. A few examples are the Romance and History of Glass, Plate Glass, Mirors, Automobile, Store Front, Furniture, Display, Patterns, Prisms, Wire, Leaded, Carrara and Black Glass, Bent Glass, Glazing plus other information related to manufacturing and the factory. The book is profusely illustrated with photographs and some art. Some images are full page and some are within the text. Some are tinted; most are black and white. A quality book. This is a books with handsome cloth, flexible covers and a hand sewn binding using silk cord in the Japanese style. The cloth has brown and gilt ink design. The contents contain three books, each with variable reprinting dates - ninth, sixth, second printings all with the latest printings from 1950. The book is printed on delicate paper that is in fine condition. Each oblong piece of paper used in the book was bound at the open ends so that a fold is at the front edge (fore-edge) which provides strength. Illustrated in black and white line drawings and photos in half-tone process, some with poor distinction due to rerprintings. All illustrations are within the text. The title page references 889 illustrations. The book is 600 pages - the book is about 1 1/2" thick. Quarto = 8 3/8" tall. The covers are delightfully fresh as are the pages. There is a hint of a vertical crease in the center of the front cover. There is thread wear on the rear upper corners and the top of the spine. The book comes in a soft paper floral book cover that shows wear with some tears and chips. Charming publication. The contents emphasize the culture, customs, arts, objects, and short bits of history. ; 8vo

This is a hardcover book in a dust jacket from the 'Pitmans' Craft For All Series'. The covers are a yellow and the spine is a soft green cloth, The , jacket has an ornate design in black and white. The binding is tight, the covers strong and without wear, however there is little spot and some darkening to the top edge. The pages are crisp and clean. There are no marks or writing. The dust jacket shows wear - some closed tears, a little chipping to the corners, a tiny ship on the rear edge of the spine, some soiling to the front panel and spine which has a white background. It is now protected in a new, archival, see-through, and removable mylar cover which makes the book and jacket appear bright and cared for. There is a handsome lithograph of a cigarette box with pewter decoration used as the frontispiece for the book. There are many other illustrations in black and white throughout the book. ; 8vo; 113 pages
