There is a former owner bookplate with a name and address on the inside cover and another bookplate on the first blank page, unsigned. There are many illustrations in the form of diagrams and photographs in black and white. There are also many tables and lists in the rear of the book. The chapters are titled Crystallography, General Physical Properties of Minerals, Chemical Mineralogy, Descriiptive Mineralogy, Determinative Mineralogy. 476 pages. ; 8vo; 476 pages
