This is the Third Edition, revised in 1975. There is a handsome cover with a title border in the style of Goines on the front cover. The book is written in calligraphy and is printed in various neutral shades of ink. The book is 15" tall and 10" wide. This copy has a few touches of wear - the interior is in very good condition. There is a less than 1/2" closed tear on the front fore-edge There are two soft creases on the front upper corner and a small crease on one of the interior pages. There is a clustered sprinkle of small spots in one place on the rear cover. There is a tiny curl to the corners of the pages on the fore-edges. There are no marks or writing. The soft paper and covers have held up well considering the size of the book and its 37 years. ; 4to; 27 pages

Minneaopolis, MN The Record Press 1929 First Edition Hardcover Illustrated by Richard Holzschuh 
This is a first edition hardcover book of Romany poetry. The author was born in Southeast Minnesota in 1873 (Houston in Houston County near the Mississippi River) . She grew up as a farm girl and attended the State College in Mankato, MN and was associated with the University of Minnesota (according to a paragraph of biography in a book about women poets in Minnesota (from pre-Territory to now) . | This book of poetry has a handsome binding of marbled papers and linen. The marbling is a subtle mix of light beige, brown, and a pinkish red that has stone grain look. There is a reddish orange title blindstamped in an interesting font. The linen spine/backstrip blends in. The book was published in Minneapolis by The Record Press in 1929. Tight, bright, crisp, clean covers and interior. There is a number written in ink on the front pasted down end paper. There are no other marks or writing. There is just a touch of wear to one corner, now restored. The book has two illustrations by Richard Holzschuh, also from Minnesota. They are done in the art nouveau style in black and white as are the other decorative designs on two other pages. Well cared for. Poetry in Minnesota. Gypsy poetry in Minnesota. Near the Mississippi. ; 8vo; 34 pages
