This is a handsome five volume hardcover set. The covers are brown cloth in tight bindings with paper labels one the spines. The condition is generally very good with minimal cover wear, coated end papers, tight bindings, clean interior pages. There are, however, former owner bookplates and signatures. The bookplate is on the pasted down end paper of each volume - a fine art lithograph for Josiah Beatie Moss and Mary Leach Moss. Another owner has written her name on the first blank page and has pasted in some small period art depictions of famous people. The books appear neat and crisp in acetate see-through, removable protectors. Five volumes - will require extra postage if shipped by air.
