This is the Commemorative Program for the 1948 Summer Olympic Games in London. Published in magazine format with photogravure illustrations in both black-and-white and color throughout. Features descriptions and photos of every sport in the games, lists of standing olympic records, charts for the spectator to record times and distances in various sports (these are unmarked) , profiles of the British sporting tradition, and much more. Contents are clean, crisp, and bright, but covers are detached and back cover is missing. Previous owner's name written in small letters at top corner of front cover and title page. ; 4to

This is a hardcover book in a dust jacket. It is in English, Russian, and the Kazakh language. The setting for this book is Shyngystau in present Kazakhstan. Shyngysta is the birthplace of three famous writers - Abai, Shakarim, Mukhtar Auezov. Beautifully photo illustrated in color. This is a large book, heavy, tall (11 1/2") , wide (10") , and thick with heavy glossy paper. An introduction is in the three languages. Captions under the photos are in the Kazakh language. The Russian and English translations of the captions are at the rear of the book in quite large letters. The emphasis in photos is on the land, views, people, customs, literature, writers and poets, plus libraries and books. The book has a tight binding and is covered in green cloth. Bright and clean. There are no marks or writings by former owners. The dust jacket is equally crisp and clean. Unclipped. There is a touch of edge wear to the jacket corners, but no tears or chips anywhere. There are os all the typical recipes of the time period (1938) and the location. There are many pages with small advertiseme nts for businesses in Minneapolis and St. Paul. One is a full page for Baker's Chocolate for General Foods of Battle Creek, MI. In color The book as a few little flaws - a faint white round spot at the bottom of the front cover - a dark spot on the last 8 pages and the cover at the bottom. There is a trace of an erasure for a former price in pencil. The cover extends past the page edges (yap edges) and are lightly worn - mostly at the bottom corners (front and Back) . This is a small school-study book about Greece. This book could fit in a pocket. The paper covers of the book were covered with fine linen fabric and sewn to fit over the covers to protect it. There is a line engraving of Delphi and Parnasses as a frontispiece, a title page (New Edition) . There are 17 chapters followed by a seven pages of 'questions and examinations'. There are eight catalog pages of other available books at that time. The paper covers are not viewable. The linen cover is heavily stained and has the name of a former owner and a name that cannot be deciphered. The end papers have some pencil and ink writing. The interior pages are generally clean except for occasional words in ink. There is a small map of Greece and a line engraving of the Parthenon. 1845. This book appears to be frozen in time with its primitive linen cover, hand sewn to hold it over the paper covers of the book, plus the extra little writings. ; 12mo; 110 pages

This is a hardcover ex-library book in a blue-grey cloth covers with gilt and a decorative design. Though the book has the words "50 Photogravur es de N. D. Phot, the images in this book were priinted in half tone (the photogravures were camera copies) There is one image to a page, the reverse side is blank, and the paper is glossy (and a little heavy) . The time period is approximately the first decade of the 1900's. There is a little wear to the cloth on the cover. The binding is delicately down, but firm. The library markings consist of the name of the library puncture as if by a pin with the words of the name of the library. There are some call numbers on the first page. The book is oblong - approximately 6 1/2" x 9 1/2" wide. ; 8vo

Generally, bright looking in a mylar see-through, removable cover. Color and black and white photographs. Many tables. A foldout with a list of all Boeing aircraft and who is was built for, plus statistics. Signed. Signed/Inscribed by Herman Kokojan, a contributing photographer who received the Military Photographer of the Year Award. This is a hardcover book in a dust jacket with black and white, plus some color photographs capturing 1976. The binding is tight and the covers that are a fine, white linen cloth are surprisingly clean. There is barely a hint of soil at the bottom of the spine and a little bump to the front bottom corner. The book sparkles. The end papers and pages are crisp and clean. There are no other marks or writings except for the inscription by Kokojan. The dust jacket is clean, but does show edge wear and a tear/crease at the top front edge. Now protected in a new archival see-through, removable mylar cover. The catagog is illustrated with one woodcut facsimiles on each printed page. Heavy beige paper was used for the cover - it has a stapled binding. Tight, bright, generally clean. No marks or writing. The book is profusely illustrated with diagrams, graphs, charts, tables, and formulas. There is a Preface with a date of 1 February 1946. The Table of Contents lists five chapters. The binding is tight, however there is a vertical tear at the bottom of the spine at the rear which is not reinforced. There is a stain at the lower front cover (quarter size) . There is a note in ink at the top of the front corner with initials. There is some soil to the paper covers, but the interior is quite crisp and clean. ; 4to; 312 pages

The binding is tight. The cover was a purple, but has faded to a lighter neutral purple, lighter on the spine and pronounced on the back. There is a water stain at the bottom spine corner. The first blank page has no writing or marks, but there is a touch of soil. The interior pages are quite bright and crisp. The title on the cover has also faded.
