Hardcover book in ribbed cloth with gilt design. Published in 1841 as a new, revised edition. 1356 Loffler, Fritz OTTO DIX LEBEN UND WERK
Dresden, Germany VEB Verlag Der Kunst 1972 Later Printing Hardcover
Would be fine hardback book except that someone has translated some of the titles beneath the works of art into Polish and has neatly written these translations above the German titles. The writing is artistic, small, faint and unoffensive.. The translations are sporadic. The covers are a fine beige colored cloth with black and red titles. The hinges are as tight as when new and the corners are straight and unworn. The end papers and pages are very clean. The text is in German. The dust jacket has some short closed tears and light edge wear in places. It is mostly crisp and clean looking. There are many color and black and white reproductions of his work, some are foldouts. There are 400 pages and the book is heavy. ; 4to
