Washington, D C U. S. Army - Corp. Of Engineers 1945 Softcover 
This is a soft cover book of 96 pages, published by the U. S. Army as a reference for reading maps published in Japanese. There is a list of very detailed sites that would be found on a map from cemetary to breakwater to sheep pasture and some more detailed ones such as kaolin deposit and extra words such as legation and star and globe. The romanized and English word are shown with the Kanji. There is a conversion table of Romaji equivalents, a table of Christian-Japanese years, a list of Provinces, and a list of Japanese security classifications . The rear cover has been replaced with a paper similar to the paper front cover which is present. The front cover edges have been reinforced with archival Japanese tissue tape. There is a corner chip and some short closed tears on the cover. The interior pages are crisp and clean. There are no added marks or writing. Well cared for except that the paper used has not stood the test of time. ; 8vo

This is the First Edition hardcover book published in 1948. The book has a green cloth cover with an Insignia on the front cover and a title on the spine. The end papers are a photography scenes. The book is profusely illustrated with photographs in black and white. There are some colored maps. The text has been edited by Robert T. Vance. There is a color front image of General Alexander A. Vandegrift. The book has a tight binding. There is a hint of bumping to the top corners. There are 400 pages on a glossy weight paper. There are no marks or writing or marks, however - though nearly all the pages are crisp and clean there are some spots and smudges to a some of them mostly t the bottom edges of the pages near the spine. A postage size layer of type is missing from two pages where the pages must have stuck then separated - the text is still readable. ; 8vo; 400 pages

This is a hardcover First Edition published in 1852. There are 331 pages (27 chapters) of text and 29 pages of advertising by the publisher at the rear of the book. The binding is tight. The covers are a grey cloth with a blind-stamped (reverse embossing) decorative design and border on the front and rear cover. The spine of the book has two sections with the title and publisher and the others in decorative gilt. There is a label pasted in on the front pasted down end paper that states "Athenian Society Library No. 97". There are no other marks except a faint ink entry on the free end paper that reads "Lippincott Donation". There is a former owner name, place and date, plus cost in a faint purple ink on the first blank page. There is another Athenian Society label on the rear pasted down end paper. There is some foxing throughout. The pages are crisp and clean except for some foxing (light brown spotting) . There is a touch of wear to the corners of the book covers. ; 8vo; 331 pages

It covers pages 615 through 656. There is a paper cover with the title page on the front and a blank back page. The spine is squared. There is a little discoloration on the paper covers, the interior is clean and well preserved. There are some photo illustrations and maps. ; 8vo

247 Astruc, Marcel LE THEATRE DAUNOU Excert Pages from Feiullets D'Art
This item is eight pages from Feiullets D'Art - four pages of text and four plates of the Lanvin's Theatre Daunou. There is a wonderful small Art Deco decorative (solid color) lithograph representing theatre chair backs and seats blue fabric with a greyish green for the arms. It is on less than one-half of the last page. There four four plate tipped on to a greyish paper. Two are in color - the first is a full front look of the stage with a female form in the foreground. The other is an artists look at the plan for the buildingon the stage. It includes the over and side decorations of the stage in a Persian design - the colors are blue. There are two other tipped in blints ain offset black/grey on white - one is of an ornate lighting fixture. There are an additional three illustrations withint the text of peacock and monkey decor used in the theatre. The eight pages have been bound in a custom wrapper. ; 8vo; 8 pages

This is the eighth edition of this guide book to Morocco published in 1913. This book is in French. It is a hefty work in twenty chapters. There are three maps bound in at the rear of the book. The maps are in fine condition - crisp, well cared for. Itineraires au Maroc de Mr. Eudgene Aubin 1902-1903 with seven neat folds; Fez with three folds; Environs de Fez with five folds. All maps are in lithgraphic color; subtle to bright for the Fez map. There is one soft crease on the third map at one small corner. The covers are delicate and a little overall worn because of the flexibility of the paper. There is a little chipping at the bottom of the spine and some on the sides, again at the bottom. The pages are uncut. Appears to be unread. ; 8vo; 500 pages
