This is a two volume work with the original dust jackets. The books are tight, bright, and very clean. There is a former owner name on the reverse of the end papers in both volumes. There is a touch of wear mostly in a slight fading at the edges of the cloth covered book boards. There are 950 color portraits of birds by Major Allan Brooks. These books are heavy because of the glossy paper for the pages and may require extra postage if shipped overseas by air. The end papers depict the bird flyways of North America. These books have been well cared for. The dust jackets are plain paper printed with a pictorial of birds in flight. There is some staining and edge wear to the jackets. A little uncommon in the original jackets. Jackets protected in new, see-through, removable mylar cover. ; Vol. 1/2/2007; 8vo

This is a portfolio cover containing 124 unbound plates. The plates are printed in black, white, grey tonal photogravures (photo engravings) . The reverse or each plate is blank. This is Series 6 - Suite du Metal - Bronzes, Appliques, Orfevrerie, Terre culte, Porcelaines. This book was donated to the library by The American Institute of Interior Designers according to a bookplate pasted to the interior of the portfolio covers. The second page, the Table of Contents, has a library stamp and a tiny stamp indicating reference plus call numbers in pencil. There is a small discard stamp on the portfolio cover. The portfolio as been neatly rebacked. The portfolio is held togehter with an old, serviceable cotton tie. The covers show wear and some splotches of water stain. The corners show light wear. There are some smudges on the rear. The plates are all mostly clean and the paper is sufficiently strong to view for many more years. C 1900. ; Vol. 6; 4to

The end papers have nice a nice look and feel (paper made to look like moire cloth) . The end papers are very clean and perfect with no marks or writing. There is information printed on the first end paper that contains guidelines for reading the book as designed by the publisher and editor. The top edges are gilt. The interior pages are very clean with no marks or writing. The book starts with the text in Hebrew. Critical notes notes in English follow the text with cross-references to page, line, chapter, verse.
