Steel engraving in fine condition of the palace grounds of the Sultan Emir in Brusa. This is an engraving of the original work by W. J Cook. The print was published in 1839 by Fisher, Son & Co out of London and by Quai de E'Ecole out of Paris. The print is black and white with fine lines of engraving and delicate grades of shading. The print depicts a romantic image of the grounds outside the palace with people riding, resting, and watering their horses while the palace rises in the background among the mountains and foliage. Print is neat and clean with no tears or chips and no discoloration. Print measures 8 1/4" x 10 3/4" image measures 6" x 7 1/2" (including the title: Emir Sultan, Brusa, engraved in fine lettering at the bottom of the image) (height by width) ; 8 1/4" x 10 3/4"
