Publisher   New York, NY Thomas Nelson & Sons 1891

This is a miniature sized flexible leather bound book of hymns published in 1891 by Thomas Nelson and Sons and printed at the Oxford Printing Press. This very small book (3 3/4" tall by 2 3/4" wide) has a tight binding. It is a dark brown smooth leather over paper (instead of book boards) making it quite flexible. One peice of leather is used to cover the front, spine, and rear. Two corners have micro edge wear on the corners. There is some scuffing to the leather that can be covered with a professional application of leather dye-polish. All edges are gilt and slightly worn. The pages are crisp and clean. There are no marks of writing and no stamps or adhesive of any kind. Used, but also well cared for such a fragile book. The font is small. The paper is thin, but strong. All pages and songs are separately numbered. There is an Index of First Lines at the rear and a Table of Contents at the front. . ; 64mo 3" - 4" tall; 440 pages
