186 BIRDS - PIGEONS Chromolithograph Print
1896
This is a beatiful chromolithograph print of pigeons. It was printed in Germany in 1896 . The art, color, ink, and execution of the print process is admirable. This print has a subtle, vertical fold mark in the middle of the print. It is double matted in acid free complementary shades of green which picks up the suble green-grays of the ink. The outside dimension of the print is 12" high x 16" wide and will fit a standard frame size; frame not included. The image dimension of the window is6 3/4} high x 10" wide. There is a tiny number on the print and a legend of the birds in German and Latin accompanies the print. The print is hinged, not glued. It is supported by a foam board backing and all is wrapped in a removable acetate. ; -
