Paris Societe Des Beaux Arts Limited Edition Hardcover Illustrated by Georges Rochegrosse 
This is a Limited Edition hardcover book, illustrated. The binding is tight, the blue-grey cloth covers are generally clean except for a spot on the back cover; the interior is clean. The top edges are gilt. The fore (front) and bottom edges are untrimmed. There is a tasteful former owner bookplate on the front pasted down end paper. There is a trace of a pencil price erasure on the front free end paper. The book is illustrated with a colored etching for the frontispiece and numerous tinted photogravures (photo engravings) within the text. Each photogravure has a tissue guard - some with foxing. The paper used in the book is free of foxing (brown spots - a result of chemical reactions from impurities in the paper or from the environment) . This is Number 180 of a Limited Edition of 550 copies. The artist is Georges Rochergrosse. There is a Preface by Anatole France. The etching was engraved by Champollion. ; Tall 8vo; 118 pages

SIGNED BY CLARKE. Tight, bright copy of limited edition, this is number 525 of 1000. Grey paper covered boards with one half vellum, vellum slightly darkened, but tight. Hint of tear in paper covering board on front panel, but not weakened or broken - reason unexplainable. Very light wear to four corners, spine title is faded, there is some scattered foxing on first free page and first page of preface. Top edges gilt, fore and bottom edges deckled. A 1/8 inch closed tear is at the top of the spine. SIGNED by Harry Clarke. EIght color plates, plus many text and full page black and white illustrations. Bright green, black, and white end papers with Clarke monogram in corner. Translated by John Anster. ; 8vo; 254 pages; Signed by Illustrator

Grey-blue cloth with ornate gilt tooling. Light rubbing to boards, and a bit shelf worn at corners and edges. Some fraying beginning at top and bottom edges of spine. Endpapers are pictorial, with mild foxing starting to show. Internally clean and bright, with just a touch of discoloration showing at edges. 25 tipped-in color illustrations, along with other line drawings by Hugh Thomson. ; 4to; 197 pages

Very good book in good clipped dust jacket. Color pictorial boards illustrated by the author are mildly soiled. Light shelf wear at top and bottom edges. Illustrated endpapers. Internally clean with b&w illustrations by Leighton throughout. Top and bottom inside edges of boards are beginning to discolor. Previous owner's name on half title page. Dust jacket illustrated to match the boards is mildly discolored and chipped. There is a 2" tear up the front edge of the spine. Lovely lithographs by an artist known for her woodcuts. ; 8vo; 178 pages
