This is a soft cover cook book published in St. Paul, MN by the Order (of the) Eastern Star associated with the Montgomery Lodge and Montgomery Masonic Temple. . There are os all the typical recipes of the time period (1938) and the location. There are many pages with small advertiseme nts for businesses in Minneapolis and St. Paul. One is a full page for Baker's Chocolate for General Foods of Battle Creek, MI. In color The book as a few little flaws - a faint white round spot at the bottom of the front cover - a dark spot on the last 8 pages and the cover at the bottom. There is a trace of an erasure for a former price in pencil. The cover extends past the page edges (yap edges) and are lightly worn - mostly at the bottom corners (front and Back) . There is a black and white photo of the Montgomery Masonic Temple in the interior. ; 8vo; 82 pages

Paris, France . 1929 Softcover 
This is a map (only) depicting the route of Buddha. It is from a book published in 1929 in Paris. The paper used in the book is disentagrati ng. The paper used for the map is superior. The map is simple black ink on a beige paper. It has fold marks to fit into the book. The condition is crisp and clean except for a closed tear along one of the fold that extends into the map about 1/4 inch. The map covers the area from Spain to Japan. It is 10 1/2 inches tall x 17 1/2 inches wide, by neat line measurements. The outside dimension of the map is about 3/4 more inch on all sides. There are two routes - for Hiuan-tsang and Yi-tsing. India is named Empire of Harsha. The lettering is of a varied and readable size. The map could still be read if framed. It will be mailed folded and well protected. The short tear has been mended from the rear side with archival Japanese tissue mending tape. There are no marks, no writing, no spots. There is no other wear. This is the original 1933 (3rd Edition) hardcover without a jacket as designed. The book is tight, bright, crisp, and clean. The dark navy blue cloth covers are in near fine condition. The title in gilt on the spine is a little dulled. There are no marks or writing. The interior is equally crisp and clean. Well cared for. The basis for the book is to document the speech delivered as part of the Ayer Lectures at the Colgate-Rochesters Divinity School in April, 1941. This is a First Causeway Edition published in New York in 1974. The book is in fine condtion. Tight, bright, crisp, and very clean. There are no marks or writings. A soft pumpkin colored cloth cover with reddish-orange tinted top edges. Orange-red end papers. Occasionly illustrated in black and white line drawings. The dust jacket has some wear. There is a tiny chip in the upper front corner. It appears that there was some kind o sprinkle of water, mostly on the spine, that has formed a sort of blended, mottled design and it is slightly darkened. Unclipped - shows the original price of $6.95. The jacket is now protected in a new archival see-through, removable mylar cover. The author studied under Tibetan Lamas of the Yellow and Red Hat sects. ; 8vo; 257 pages

This is a small soft cover book that comes in a nice fitting cover. The book has been well cared for. Though there is a spot on the front cover that looks like a smudge of a blue pencil or chalk. There is a light touch of corner wear. There are no marks or writing. The pages are quite crisp and clean - though there is a tiny spot on the front blank page. The contents of the 61 pages is divided into Inspirational Reading, Parables, and Source References. There is a two page Bibliography and two pages of diagrams titled The Golden Words of the Buddha and Pali Tipitaka. The cover is only plastic but has a very handsome design that has been tooled into the surface (a from of embossing) . There is no wear to the cover. The covers of the book slip into pockets on the inside. On the title page is a statement that the book has been published by the Bureau of Buddhist Education in addition to Buddhist Churches of America. ; 8vo; 61 pages

There are no marks or writing except for a former owner name and date (1891) at the top of the title page. The four maps are crisp without wear, but two of the four also have some light foxing. The foxing can start from non-archival materials used in the binding, glue, etc. There are two appendices and an Index. Well cared for. ; 8vo; 463 pages

The covers are a delicate beige paper that has some chips and missing corners and a closed tear. There is a water stain at the rear bottom corner of the cover and on about ten pages. The interior pages are clean, otherwise. There are some previous pencil price erasures. Condition shows as quite used on the covers and good on the interior except for the water stain at the bottom rear pages. There is an Introduction by C. W. Leadbeater. ; 8vo; 87 pages
