London The C. W. Daniel Company 1909 Hardcover Near Fine 
This is a hardcover book without a dust jacket. The book has a tight binding, square cornered corners in green cloth covers with a mistletoe design and title in light green. The title on the spine is faded, but not on the cover. There are a few spots on the rear lower corner. There is a very slight hint of fading on the spine. The end papers are clean and without writing or marks, but with a shadow of offset foxing from some paper, possibly a newspaper clipping - no longer there. The book has an acetate cover that is removable. Mary was the neice of Thomas Everest for whom Mt. Everest was named. She married George Boole, mathematician, and tutor to Mary. She was also an academician , self taught in mathematics at the start, as women were not accepted in some science training schools. ; 12mo; 90 pages

This is a hardcover book in a dust jacket. It is the 1956 American Edition. The book is tight, bright, and very clean inside and out. There is a four digit number stamped on the front free end paper. There are no other marks or writing. The dust jacket is clean, but with some edge wear, corner chips and some closed tears, and a touch of discoloration. The book has been well cared for; the paper used for the jacket was too fragile. The jacket looks more crisp in its new see-through, removable mylar protector. It is unclipped. ; 8vo; 376 pages

This is a two volume hardcover book set without dust jackets, most likely as issued. The books are bound firmly and are still in tight condition. The covers are a medium blue cloth with titles on the covers and spines in gilt. The covers are clean. There is a slight dulling to the color of the spine. The interior pages are clean except for a former owner name written in ink and dated on the front pasted down end paper close to the corner. The same owner stamped his name and address on the rear pasted down end paper. All the pages and edges are crisp and clean. Well cared for. Strong binding with straight spines and straight corners. No wear to the spines except the slight dulling of color. Volume 1 is a first edition (September 1928) , Volume 2 is a third printing (January 1952) - same binding, same cloth. ; Vol. 1/2/2008; 8vo; 818 pages

SIGNED This is a hardcover book with a dust jacket. The book is in near fine condition with just a touch of corner wear. Tight, bright, very clean. There is an author inscription on the front free end paper. There is also the remnant of a paper clip indention and rust outline on about six pages. The paper clip held two letters - an exchange between Vinson and his publisher, R. S. Woolson of Wiley, in 1974. The letters are laid in. The inscription is to 'Conners' who found an error in the book. The dust jacket has a magenta color that shows some rubbing and light edge wear. ; 8vo; 173 pages; Signed by Author
