This is a hardcover book in a dust jacket and slipcase. The book is tight , bright, very clean and without marks or writing. There is a trace of a pencil price erasure. The dust jacket if equally crisp and clean and has been protected in a thin, lightweight, see-through, removable plastic cover. The slipcase is also crisp and clean and with barely any wear. Photo illustrated in color and black and white. The images are mostly full page. In English and Chinese. An appendix with precise dimensions and background is also in English. ; Photographs; 4to

London Batsford Colour Books 1949 First Edition Hardcover 
This is a First Edition hardcover book in a dust jacket. The book belongs to the series of Batsford Books - a combination of text background on the subject a Frontispiece and 15 plates that are blank on the reverse side. Nicely colored with careful detail with a caption below that emphasizes needlework, fabric, etc. , plus the use for the dress. Court dress, Walking dress, etc.. Each plate is numbered next to the caption with notes containing emphasis and explanations. The Frontispiece has a border of scarves, hats, bows, feathers, belts. All plates are in color. The binding is tight, the book has a neatly written former owner gift note on the front free end paper corner - dated 1951. There is a small moisture mark on the lower right corner. The book interior is clean and crisp. The plates are pristine. The books is paper covered, not cloth. The dust jacket has another scene in color. There is some darkening at the top and bottom edges. The soft paper jacket has wear at the points where the jacket is folded over the spine and the fore edges. There are a couple of short closed tears and minimal small chips at the corners. Generally clean, unclipped, and now protected from any further wear by a new, archival, see-through, removable mylar cover that makes the book look bright and fresh..; 8vo

This is a softcover catalog for the 1955-1956 Fall-Winter season. This catalog has a tight binding, the covers are quite clean, but there is a little wear at some of the corners and some rubbing.. The interior is crisp and very clean. The paper for some sections has started to tone - yellowing from acidic reaction to the paper content.. The paper used for the color samples is very bright and crisp. There are no dog eared corners, no writing. The catablog has been well cared for. SIGNED. This is a Signed First Edition hardcover book with a dust jacket and in a slipcase. The book was signed on the half-title page. The covers are a handsome purple and white clothe with silver metallic ink for the title and a cartouche. The book would be fine if not for a few small flaws (smudge, tear, crinkle, spot) at the middle of the book, scattered, between pages 165 and 172. They are possibly caused by the printing and binding of the book. The end papers are perfect, all other pages are fine. Crisp and clean. There no other marks of writing. There is a crinkle and closed tear to the dust jacket at the bottom rear corner and a faint touch of wear at other corners. Price clipped, crisp and clean. Metallic silver background with a metallic trim on a kimono image. Large, thick (374 pages) , tall (11 1/2") book . Profusely illustrated with black and white and quality color photos.
